These cards are great way to teach reading before or during a sight words curriculum and usually are used before sight words.

200 word cards containing words with short vowel sounds (the simplest words in English). Included are 100 CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) word cards, 64 CVCC word cards and 36 CCVC word cards.

Word cards display one word per card. The word is presented on the front in a typeface similar to handwriting, while the back has the same word written with upper/lower case lines. This makes it easy to sort the cards into different piles and for the teacher to see the same word that the student is seeing.
